ABOUT ABOUT

The laughs are coming to Cortland when Paul Kozlowski headlines Comedy Night at the Finger Lakes Tasting & Tap Room on Friday, Oct. 4. Kozlowski, who's the Chris Rock and Jon Stewart shows, will share the stage with Mike Peters, Seth Ruddick, Rachel Blithe and James Fedkiw.

Tickets are $10 and available online now and at the door, which will open at 7 p.m.

About the comedians:

Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York.

Seth Ruddick has performed in Binghamton, Owego, Cortland, Syracuse and Galeton, Pa., among other places. Worldly for his young age, Ruddick unleashes his cantankerous take on his everyday happenings much to the audience’s delight. Ruddick, a self-deprecating comedian always looking for a free drink, opened for the Reverend Bob Levy.

Rachel Blithe is a comedian and actor who splits time between Syracuse and New York City. She took second place at the Who's Got Next? tournament in Rochester, advanced to the semifinals of the Comedy at the Carlson’s Funniest Person in Rochester contest and the Utica Brews Laugh Contest’s final. She's quick, clever, a little bit musical and always entertaining.

James Fedkiw hosts Syracuse's longest-running open mic at George O'Dea's Pub and has performed at the Funny Bone and all around New York. He's a regular in the Syracuse and Rochester areas, placed second in the Utica Brews contest and qualified for the Utica Cup finals.

Paul Kozlowski is one of the most unique voices on the local comedy scene. A Cortland native, Kozlowski came up through the Boston comedy scene and worked in New York City and Los Angeles, making appearances in the Shakes the Clown and Punchline movies and on television in "The Chris Rock Show," "Mr. Show with Bob and David" and "Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist," along with writing for "The Wayne Brady Show," "Johnny Bravo and "The Jon Stewart Show." He also produces the must-listen podcast, Look Who Showed Up. There's no telling what'll come out of Kozlowski's mouth. But you won't be able to look away.
