ABOUT ABOUT

Who doesn't like to laugh in the summer? Well, then don't bring them because P.S.Y.C.H. 607 has an excellent night of comedy for everybody who isn't a total downer. Come on out to Spotlight on June 23 to see Funny Business, featuring Rachel Blithe, Dan Mullen, Mike Peters, Victoria Diana and Kenneth McLaurin.

These five comedians are coming from all across New York -- Ithaca, Elmira, Albany, New York City and, well, Binghamton -- to entertain the crowd. Tickets are $5 and available online and at the door. The show starts at 8 p.m. and the doors open at 7. Tell a friend.

Rachel Blithe is a comedian and actor who splits time between Syracuse and New York City. She took second place at the Who's Got Next? tournament in Rochester and works all around New York. She's quick, clever, a little bit musical and always entertaining.

One of the finest comedians in Elmira, Dan Mullen has a sharp mind and clever writing style that doesn’t disappoints an audience. With a steady stream of jokes that’ll make you think and keep you entertained, Mullen has delighted crowds all over New York. Mullen’s a regular in the Ithaca scene, was a finalist in the Funniest Person in Rochester contest in 2015 and is a writer for Funny or Die.

Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, is a co-founder of P.S.Y.C.H. 607. Peters specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. He's a regular host at Spotlight in Binghamton, has performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried.

Victoria Diana performs all over New York and Vermont. She’s the winner of the Queen Bee Comedy Competition and the Vermont Comedy Outlaw’s Thunderdome. She’s the loser of many other comedy competitions and her mother’s validation. She loves writing in third person and pretending to read Infinite Jest in public for attention. She is currently saving up for her first side-boob tattoo: “Some dive bar near Jones Beach,” so she never forgets from where she came.

Kenneth McLaurin has long gone by the moniker "The Funniest Person You've Never Heard Of," but because of the success of his freshman album, "Cuttin' Up, Comedy at The Shop," he now adds the title of most listened to person on Spotify in the Village of Ithaca. Witty, clever, Insightful and sometimes shocking, but always funny is what you get with McLaurin.
