Homebrewed Comedy is coming back to Galaxy Brewing Company on Saturday, Oct. 5 and this time, Kevin Seibert, Shafi Hossain and Bill Lake are joining host Mike Peters for another fun night of laughs.
The show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $5 and available online or at the door, which opens at 8 p.m.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York.
Driven by a zeal for performing, Kevin Seibert places his wit and intelligence at the forefront of his act. In his relatable, self-effacing style, Seibert explores subjects from nerd culture to his numerous irrational fears, always delivering with his signature excessively-caffeinated energy.
Born and raised in Bangladesh, Shafi Hossain is the host of Kaizen Komedy podcast, producer of a monthly comedy show, The Variety Charity at Mochalisa, and a contributor to the Albany Times Union. Hossain won the Sixth Annual Slaughter Standup 18 and was a runner-up at ImprovBoston Standup Throwdown in 2018. He’s performed at the Portland Maine Comedy Festival, Oak City Comedy Festival in Raleigh, N.C., and the 208 Comedy Festival in Boise, Idaho.
A former contributing writer for David Letterman and Craig Ferguson, Bill Lake is a host at the Syracuse Funny Bone, performs yearly at the Binghamton Comedy Crawl and was selected for the 2018 Asheville Comedy Festival and the Cape Fear and North Carolina Comedy Festivals in 2019. One of Binghamton’s strongest comedians, Lake uses his smart writing to entertain audiences all over the upstate area.
