ABOUT ABOUT

You want to see five funny women on stage on one night? Of course you do. Well, this is your shot. Pre-existing Conditions IV is coming to Spotlight on June 2 and will feature five of the funniest people in the area -- Syracuse's Jen Stephenson, Albany's Makenzi Berg, Binghamton's Molly McDowell, Rochester's Andrea Springer and Ithaca's Deidre Mollura.

The show will start at 8 p.m., and tickets are available at the door and online for $5.

Jen Stephenson is a hard-working, far-traveling comedian from Syracuse who enjoys taking shots at herself. Stephenson hasn't met a mic she could turn down and has performed all over the state, including the Helium Comedy Club in Buffalo and the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City. She took first at the CNY Playhouse Clash of the Comics and spends hours envisioning the perfect kiss -- or tacos. Whichever comes first.

Makenzi Berg ...

Molly McDowell is a regular in the Binghamton and Ithaca comedy scenes -- and Syracuse and Scranton, too, as long as someone else drives. A Connecticut native, McDowell brings her observational skills onto the stage and delights in being a “mouthy broad,” who isn't afraid of any topic. She’s performed at Cornell and Stockton Universities, P.S.Y.C.H. 607’s Pre-existing Conditions and Laughs with Friends series, the Finger Lakes Comedy Festival and on stages from Texas to Vermont.

Based in Rochester, Andrea Springer has performed improv comedy professionally for 10 years and stand-up for two. A finalist in the Future Feature Competition at Comedy @ the Carlson in Rochester, Springer frequently performs around upstate New York and puts together benefit shows for charitable causes. She also co-presented twice at the New York State Literacy conference on teaching students improv comedy to encourage literacy.

Deidre Mollura is one of Ithaca's strongest comedians. A co-founder of the Itha-ha comedy group, Mollura is a collector of oddities and a lover of the weird things in life. Mollura performs all across New York, was the runner-up in the 2018 Matty B’s Roast Battle championship and opened for Kevin Salisbury and Brian Barganier on their New York. She works for food, drinks and one time, a tomato plant. (Don’t give her tomatoes.)
