ABOUT ABOUT

Five funny women will be at Galaxy Brewing Company in Binghamton for Pre-existing Conditions X on Saturday, Dec. 14. Binghamton comedian Holly Griffin will share the stage with four of Rochester's funniest people, Jane Ives, Sara Shipley, Cindy Arena and Shirelle Kinder.

Tickets are $5 online now and at the door, which will open at 8 p.m. The show will start at 9 p.m.

Pre-existing Conditions is the longest-running, all-female comedy show in the Binghamton area.

About the comedians:
Holly Griffin is a Binghamton comedian, who tells stories about everyday life, unexpected hijinks, Tinder adventures and uncomfortable social situations. They’ll leave you with the feeling that you’re glad you’re not her. Whether you’re laughing with her or at her, you’ll be happy you were a witness to the calamity.

Jane Ives is a comedian, actor and artist from Rochester. She’s opened for Moses Storm, was featured in the Rochester Fringe Festival and produces shows as part of the Brunchtown Comedy Collective. Ives once swallowed a baby tooth while eating corn on the cob and felt it necessary to write a letter of explanation/apology from the tooth fairy. Reviews of Ives:

Sara Shipley is a quick-rising star within the Upstate, New York comedy scene. A performance triple threat -- improvisor, actor and comedian -- Shipley has opened for some of the biggest names in comedy, including April Macie, Tammy Pescatelli and Jim Norton. She performs stand-up regularly at Comedy at the Carlson in Rochester and at the Focus Theater with The Urge Improv team. She’s a co-producer and host of the monthly variety show, The Comedy Grab Bag.

Rochester comedian Cindy Arena has only been at it a couple of years, but she's already made a name for herself. A regular at Comedy at the Carlson, Arena was named the Funniest Person in Rochester in 2018. A semifinalist in Buffalo's Funniest in 2019, Arena has opened for Dana Goldberg and Marcella Arguello.

Shirelle “Gator” Kinder has graced the Rochester comedy scene with her special brand of anecdotal humor since April. A finalist in the 2018 and 2019 Funniest Person in Rochester competitions, Gator entertains audiences with active storytelling, her complete and utter shamelessness, as well as free advice on one-upping cat-callers and unconventional funeral planning. Give her five minutes of your time and who knows what kind of knowledge you’ll walk away with?
